About the Approach

A Gentle Approach to Listening, Reflection and Growth

At Gracepoint Listening, I believe that every person has a story worth hearing and deserves the space to be listened to with compassion, dignity and respect.

Life does not always give us clear answers. We may find ourselves facing difficult decisions, unexpected transitions, emotional challenges or questions about our direction and purpose. At times like these, having someone who will genuinely listen can help us pause, reflect and see things from a different perspective.

My approach is simple: You Talk, I Listen, We Reflect.

Listening Comes First

I believe meaningful conversations begin with listening inorder to know where you're at. My role is to create a welcoming, non-judgemental space where you can share your thoughts and experiences at your own pace.

You do not need to organise your thoughts perfectly or know exactly what you want to say. You are welcome to begin wherever you are.

Reflection That Creates Clarity

Sometimes, speaking openly helps us recognise feelings, values, strengths and possibilities that may have been difficult to see before.

Through thoughtful questions and reflective conversations, I help you explore what matters most, consider different perspectives and identify possible next steps. Rather than making decisions for you, I support you in finding greater clarity and confidence in your own choices.

Compassion for Every Journey

My approach is shaped by my formal coaching qualification through Authentic Education, my 11 years of pastoral care practice and my Clinical Pastoral Education training.

These experiences have influenced my commitment to empathy, attentive listening, presence and respect for each person's individual circumstances.

I recognise that every person brings a unique story, background and set of values. There is no single formula for navigating life's challenges, and your journey deserves to be approached with care and understanding.

Space for Spirituality, If You Choose

For those who welcome it, conversations may include spiritual reflection, questions of faith, meaning, hope and purpose.

My approach is informed by Christian pastoral values, while remaining welcoming to people of all faiths and those with no religious affiliation. Your beliefs and choices will be respected, and spiritual reflection is always optional.

Your Journey, Your Pace

There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable sharing, and no expectation that every conversation must lead to an immediate solution.

Some conversations may simply offer the relief of being heard. Others may help you gain perspective, recognise possibilities or take a practical step forward.

My role is to listen, reflect alongside you and support your exploration of what comes next.

What You Can Expect

  • A warm, respectful and non-judgemental listening space.

  • Time to express yourself without pressure or interruption.

  • Thoughtful questions that encourage reflection and self-understanding.

  • Support in exploring personal goals, choices and life transitions.

  • Optional spiritual and pastoral reflection, guided by your preferences.

  • Respect for your autonomy, personal values and individual journey.

Gracepoint Listening offers listening, reflective coaching and pastoral support. These services are not a substitute for psychological treatment, mental health care or crisis support.

A Final Word

You do not have to have everything figured out before you reach out. Sometimes, the first step towards clarity is simply having the space to talk.

At Gracepoint Listening, you are welcome to bring your questions, uncertainties, hopes and possibilities.

You Talk, I Listen, We Reflect.

Online sessions offer a convenient and accessible way to engage in listening, reflective conversations and life coaching without travelling.

We can discuss a suitable, mutually agreed location that offers comfort, privacy and convenience. Depending on availability, this may be a hired consultation room or another appropriate private meeting space.

To protect your privacy and personal safety, the location will be agreed upon before the session. In-person appointments are subject to venue and coach's availability.

What Happens During a Session?

Every conversation begins with listening.

Depending on your needs, our conversation may include:

  • Compassionate listening and space to express yourself.

  • Reflective questions to help you explore your thoughts and feelings.

  • Coaching conversations to clarify goals, values and possible next steps.

  • Optional spiritual or pastoral reflection, if this is meaningful to you.
